Leadership Degree Programs

GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN LEADERSHIP

The Graduate Certificate provides specialized knowledge in the field without completing the full master’s degree.

MA IN LEADERSHIP

The MA in leadership develops leaders with a strong sense of personal mission and provides leadership skills to enhance their current work, launch innovative new projects, retool into new areas of management, or practice leadership in their community.

老司机传媒's MA Leadership in Social Innovation program offers students the unique opportunity to engage in socially impactful careers with collective impact-focused, mission-driven entities, including Benefit Corporations. Benefit Corporations, or B Corps, are businesses that often focus on people, the planet, and profits through developing public goods and services.

DOCTOR OF LEADERSHIP

The DLEAD program is designed for mid-career leaders who want to refine and refresh their leadership practice with an innovative and highly flexible program. This program requires a final doctoral project that focuses on applying program principles in a practical change project.

PHD IN LEADERSHIP

The PhD in leadership is designed to meet the needs of mid-career academic leaders and provide an innovative and highly flexible program. This program requires a research-focused dissertation that helps participants grow as both leaders and researchers.

POST-DOCTORAL CERTIFICATE

This program provides advanced training for those with a completed doctorate (PhD, MD, DDS, DMin, etc.). Individuals may pursue research, teaching, administration and/or practicums as determined on the basis of availability of senior faculty members.

APPLICATION DEADLINES

Applications are accepted on a rolling admissions basis (fall, summer and spring semesters).

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Graduate Certificate & MA in Leadership

  • This program requires a bachelor's degree (or non-U.S. equivalent) from an accredited institution and minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.60 (lower GPAs may be considered for strong profiles)
  • Two recommendations from advisors, major professors or employers, etc
  • Resume describing employment, research or special projects, etc.
  • Statement of Purpose reflecting your philosophical perspective, personal, professional and academic goals, and reasons for seeking the graduate program
  • TOEFL, IELTS or PTE (academic): Only for students whose language of education is not English 

DLEAD & PHD IN LEADERSHIP

In addition to the MA requirements doctoral applications must include: 

  • Master’s degree (or non-U.S. equivalent) from an accredited institution and minimum graduate GPA of 3.30 (lower GPAs may be considered for strong profiles)
  • Three recomendations from advisors, major professors or employers
  • A minimum of five years of professional work experience in a leadership setting is expected
  • A writing sample (e.g., published article, organizational document, research paper, etc.)
