Andrews Academy physical education department sponsored a backpacking trip to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennessee, from April 21-28, 2017. Twenty-eight students and eight sponsors participated. Prior to their departure, the class did lot of planning, preparing, and packing to make this trip a success. During their six day tour, they camped at the same base camp for the first weekend to hike various trails, then went on a four day trail.
The week provided a rather unique experience in God’s nature. The group had to deal creatively with heavy rain but saw many beautiful sites along the way. Thank you to Mr. Byron Graves for planning this trip, which provided wonderful memories…. and sore muscles!
