—Ayanda Dewa (junior, global studies)
“I’m going to leave procrastination because it’s not a healthy thing to do. The more you procrastinate about many things, the more stressed you’ll feel. A common theme for these goals is to leave behind procrastination or to gain some sort of motivation for oneself throughout the year. If you know any of these people, help them to accomplish their goal(s) by checking up on them to see where they are at or even simply just encouraging them as the year progresses.
If these goals have inspired you to start your own goals or leave your bad habits, now is the time to begin. If you’re unsure of where to start, simply write out a list of things you want to accomplish for the school year and slowly work towards it. This could be by going to the gym regularly, developing a new skill, engaging in extracurriculars, leading out in worship or further improving your time management skills. Additionally, ask family and friends for support to help you to stay accountable. They can share some tips and goals to help you achieve your goals.
