Speech-Language Pathology—MS

The Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program is designed to provide the student with in-depth academic study, the potential for research, and extensive clinical experiences in preparation for careers in the diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of individuals with speech and language disorders.

Fully accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation for Audiology and Speech-language Pathology.

PROGRAM LENGTH

  • 60 credits for students with a Bachelor of Science in communication disorders. Can typically be completed by a full-time student in two years.
  • 91 credits for students with a bachelor’s degree in an unrelated area (transitional track). Can typically be completed by a full-time student in three years—one year of college prerequisites and two years of MS courses.

APPLICATION DEADLINES

The MS Speech-Language Pathology program begins new cohorts in the Fall Semester of each year. Prospective students typically must complete the application and submit all the requirements before February 15, however, the application deadline has been extended to April 15, 2024 .

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • A bachelor's degree (or non-U.S. equivalent) from an accredited institution and a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.7. For students in the transitional track, a minimum GPA of 3.5 is required in all prerequisite courses (with no grade below a B).

  • Three Recommendations from professionals such as advisors, major professors and employers.
  • Applicants may be invited to participate in a virtual interview
  • Resume describing employment, research or special projects.
  • Applications must be completed and鈥痸erified鈥痓y the deadline (Feb 15 now April 15, 2024)* at 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST)
  • TOEFL, IELTS or PTE (academic): Students whose language of education is not English must submit English proficiency test scores.
