Online and Global Networking

The following services are led collaboratively by faculty and staff in Global Campus.

This informal group promotes and encourages quality distance education practices across our world higher education institutions. We share resources, learn together, share our favorite educational technology tools, and occasionally meet together face to face.

Benefits of participating include:

Leadership Team:

Operating in collaboration with Global Campus, ALC is an initiative of the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists. This ministerial and educational digital media platform was designed to strengthen Adventist professionals through continuing education courses, teaching courses, ministerial training, and dissemination of uniquely Adventist content for the church community and beyond.

Take courses developed by Global Campus faculty:

  • created by Glynis Bradfield, is a 9-module high school semester credit course freely available online, as a transformative life preparation tool for Adventist teens
  • , created by Janine Lim, is a 10-module course introducing aspects of teaching online, including interaction, quality, and online faith integration.

Envisioned as an informal continuing education social media space for Adventist educators globally to mentor and inspire each other, the short articles simply share what's working in the experience of dedicated Adventist teachers and educational leaders serving in Adventist and other educational settings. This service is coordinated by Glynis Bradfield, as CIRCLE Director, in partnership with Faith-Ann McGarrell, as the Editor of the Journal of Adventist Education, filling the gap between resource repository and academic journal. Educators are invited to contribute posts that reflect the themes of:

  1. Philosophy and mission
  2. Christian growth
  3. Curriculum
  4. Assessment and evaluation
  5. Instruction and teaching
  6. Learning
  7. Sustainable leadership
  8. Professional development
  9. School environment
  10. Communication and cooperation
  11. Reflective practice
  12. Best practices in formal and informal education settings

CIRCLE serves as a comprehensive source for locating the ever-expanding array of resources for Seventh-day Adventist educators as they continue the teaching ministry of Jesus Christ.

This Adventist resource curation service links educators who need resources with those who have resources anytime, anywhere. Links to materials created by Adventist educators for any level of learning are priority; other reviewed and recommended Christian and secular materials are included to save busy educators time.  CIRCLE partners with educators globally to research and share resources in appropriate formats for varying levels of technology.  As the google for educational tools, thanks to North American Division and General Conference funding since 1999, CIRCLE continues limited service as a curator of diverse Christian education tools.
