Kara Cotter is a speech-language pathologist specialized in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). She earned her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Grand Valley State University in 2019 and subsequently obtained her master's degree in speech-language pathology from Moravian College in 2021. Currently, Kara holds the position of Assistive Technology Consultant at Berrien RESA, where she provides support for students aged 2 to 26.
Kara's professional focus centers on augmentative and alternative communication, where she excels in developing innovative solutions that facilitate effective communication for individuals with unique communication profiles. At Andrews, Kara supervises SPEAK OUT! and teaches the Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) course at the graduate level.
