Requirements

  • A minimal overall GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.
  • A cognate GPA of 3.0 or higher is required  (BIOL 221, 222, PSYC 301, PSYC 101, CHEM 110, FDNT 230) 
  • Have your ATI TEAS passed with at least 58.7%. If you're international, we accept SATs of 540 or ACTs of 20 in Math, English, and Reading instead. Simple as that!

What to Expect

Students may enter the University as declared nursing majors, but the first year is typically spent in general education requirements, cognate courses and NRSG215 Introduction to Nursing Concepts.

Students are encouraged to apply for admission into the nursing program prior to completion of the spring semester of their freshman year in order to be prepared to enter NRSG216 Fundamentals of Nursing Practice the following fall semester.
