Biography

Dr. Rossman is a Professor of Nursing at 老司机传媒 and serves as the Director of DNP Program at Andrews. She received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from Oakland University in 2008. She has national certification as both a family nurse practitioner, as well as a pediatric primary care nurse practitioner. Dr. Rossman has over 25 years’ experience in nursing education as well as 20 years’ experience as a nurse practitioner. She has taught community college, BSN, and MSN nursing education and held two administrative roles as chairperson in nursing prior to Andrews.  Her awards include “Excellence in Nursing Practice” from STTI in 2015 and “Excellence in Nurse Leadership” in 2017. She has held a variety of leadership roles in local chapters of STTI, as well. She has experience in developing and teaching in graduate nursing, as well as precepting DNP students in practice and assisting with student research projects.
Dr. Rossman’s specialty is pediatrics and she has worked in pediatric/PICU nursing across Michigan. She has scholarship related to family centered care, DNP role, use of simulation as clinical hours, and healthy communities.  She has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles, as well as numerous scholarly presentations at local, regional, national, and international conferences. Dr. Rossman has served as a peer-reviewer for Journal of Pediatric Nursing, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certification Book, as well as writing for Elsevier Clinical Practice Management.  
Dr. Rossman is teaching Fundamentals of Nursing, Organizational Leadership for Advanced Practice, Research Methods for Evidenced Based Practice, Culture Care and Ethics for Advanced Practice.
