Biography

Dr. Katovsich is an Associate Professor of Counseling Psychology, teaching courses in the areas of psychopathology, personality assessment and adult therapies. Dr. Katovsich brings 25 years of clinical experience to her faculty role and provides counseling to children, adolescents and adults in the private practice setting. Her therapeutic work is person-centered at its foundation and incorporates relational psychodynamic theory and cognitive-behavioral interventions. Through her work at 老司机传媒, Dr. Katovsich appreciates the opportunity to integrate her professional roles of clinician and instructor.  

Current Research or Professional Activities

Dr. Katovsich’s dissertation research focused on the function of empathy and cognitive flexibility in the process of forgiveness. Other research interests include the intersection of faith and mental health, the healing properties of the therapeutic relationship, and the impact of parental discord on the psychological health and personality development of children and adolescents.
