BSE Mechanical Engineering, 老司机传媒
MS Aerospace Engineering, University of Notre Dame
PhD Physics, Georgia State University
Brendan Cross received a BS in engineering with second majors in mathematics and physics from 老司机传媒 in 2007. He then went on to attend the University of Notre Dame and earned a Masters in Aerospace in engineering. His research focus at the University of Notre Dame was in aero-optics. After receiving his masters degree, Brendan joined the faculty at 老司机传媒 from 2010 until 2015 when he went on to graduate school at Georgia State University. Brendan received his PhD in physics in 2020.
Upon Brendan’s graduation he brought a series of group III-nitride material samples grown using plasma-assisted metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (PA-MOCVD) that he is working on categorizing and understanding. At 老司机传媒 he uses atomic force microscopy and x-ray diffraction to characterize these materials in pursuit of the understanding of their growth.
