Death of Neal Lee Sherwin
Neal Lee Sherwin, 93, of Berrien Springs, was born in Battle Creek to Orlen and Vera Sherwin on Oct. 13, 1929, and died Feb. 20, 老司机传媒 2023, at home peacefully.
He graduated from Cedar Lake Academy in 1948 and Emmanuel Missionary College in 1953. He married Joyce L. Draper on Aug. 22, 1954. He finished a master's degree in theology from 老司机传媒 in 1965. He served as a missionary in Pakistan from 1955–1975.
Returning to the U.S., he worked as a pastor in Michigan for 20 years and retired to Battle Creek. After his wife, Joyce, died in 1999, he remarried in 2001 to Betty Downs.
He is survived by his children, Linda (Dan) Thompson and David (Jane) Sherwin; stepchildren: Bethany Cannon, Katherine Hudson, Karl (Christine) Downs, Kenneth Downs; grandchildren: Rachelle (Brenton) Offenback, Jonathan (Evaine) Thompson, Brent (Laura) Sherwin, Brittany (Harold) Chelchowski, Chrystal and Kimberly Cannon, Katrina Hudson; great-grandchildren: Kayleigh, Emma, Jake, Jenna, Noah, Jonah, Mikayla; his sister, Lavonne Peak, and sister-in-law, Kay Sherwin.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Adele; his parents; wife, Joyce Sherwin; brother, Verlen; and wife, Betty Sherwin.
