3 days of captivating experiences that inspire, challenge high schoolers
Thu, September 19, 2019 @ 03:00 pm - 02:30 pm
Sun, September 22, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 02:30 pm
The sixth annual STEM weekend is coming up—September 19–22, 2019.
This year we have teams traveling from California, Georgia, New Mexico, North Carolina, Maryland, Pennsylvania and locally to experience Andrews University’s STEM Labs. We have over 70 students registered for this weekend. SciFEST provides high school students the unique opportunity to do lab experiments, visit with professors and current Andrews students, participate in worship opportunities on-campus, and check out career options. Visitors will rotate to eight departments; teams will problem-solve, work collaboratively, and get their "hands dirty." SciFEST culminates with a vespers and Quiz Bowl game show, where all the participants will test their STEM knowledge in Newbold Auditorium (BUL 153) at 7:30 p.m. This final event is open to the public.
SciFEST is open to all high school students and their parents. Individuals are welcome to attend and will be placed on a team. Registration is required. This year's theme is light.
If you know of a high school student who might be interested, please encourage them to plan to attend next year.
