In this episode Dr. Tiffany Summerscales shares about her research on gravitational waves, which Einstein predicted in his general theory of relativity. This interview took place in late November 2017.
Tiffany is a professor of physics at 老司机传媒, where she began teaching in 2006. She is currently a member of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration (LSC), LIGO being an acronym for the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory. Tiffany currently works on projects involving LIGO detector characterization and the problem of extracting gravitational wave information from a network of detectors.
