Position summary
The student assistant’s role focuses on supporting departmental activities through prospect research, data entry, preparation of communication materials, and clerical and business development functions of the Office of Planned Giving & Trust Services.
Qualifications summary
Must be currently enrolled and in good academic standing at ÀÏ˾»ú´«Ã½.
Very detail-oriented, self-motivated, dependable, and must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Duties and responsibilities
The duties of this student position include filing, shredding, scanning, copying, data entry, simple letter writing, file organization, assisting with mailings, and other clerical duties as assigned. Writing thank-you letters, birthday greetings, condolence cards, and other donor communications. Assists in conducting research to update records. Helps maintain social media presence and other donor-engagement vehicles.

None.
Qualifications
The right candidate will be very detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to work alone, and dependable. They will appreciate order, take pride in excellence, enjoy repetitive work, interact and communicate well with senior citizens, and be able to project a professional image. They will have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, good writing skills, and legible handwriting. They will have an interest in developing marketing and promotional materials. They must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Technical competencies
Must be able to able to create business letters, envelopes, and labels in Microsoft Word and set up simple Excel spreadsheets. Preference is given to applicants who are also able to set up fillable forms in Word.
Interpersonal interactions
Must be comfortable interacting with the senior population. Must be able to speak clearly and project sufficiently to be heard and understood by those with diminished hearing.
Physical demands
Must be able to stand, sit, and lift 20 pounds. Must be able to bend and/or squat repeatedly. Occasional travel to other areas of campus.
Work environment
Climate controlled, neat, clean and orderly office setting with their own desk.
