Position summary
*Sort and check-in periodicals for six different accounts, using the specialized library software.
*Pack and ship boxes of periodicals to overseas schools, including creating a detailed packing list, and following the postal regulations regarding customs.
*Maintain/file documents related to shipping.
*Send occasional emails to receiving Librarian at the SAIL-participant schools.
*Other duties in Bibliographic Services as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications summary
*Must be extremely detailed, in order to avoid costly mistakes.
*Must be dependable, and have ability to work with minimum supervision.
*Must have excellent typing and organizational skills.
*Must have the ability to make complex decisions.
*Good communication and customer service skills are a necessity.
*Must be able to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
*Must be professional in conduct and behavior.
